Join us for an enlightening presentation by Dr. Molly McCann-Pineo, who will delve into the compelling findings of the recent study, "The Female Emergency Medical Services Experience: A Mixed Methods Study." This session will uncover the unique challenges faced by female EMS clinicians, highlighting critical issues such as workplace harassment, mental health concerns, and the physical demands of the job. Molly will explore the impact of these challenges on personal and occupational well-being and discuss the pressing need for systemic changes.

Discover how sexism, harassment, and inadequate support systems contribute to high rates of anxiety, depression, and burnout among these essential workers. The presentation will also address the implications of these findings for policy and practice, advocating for a more supportive and inclusive EMS workplace.

Whether you're involved in EMS, healthcare policy, or are interested in gender studies within high-stress professions, this presentation will provide valuable insights into the experiences of female first responders and the critical steps needed to support and retain them in the workforce. Don't miss this opportunity to learn about the pioneering research paving the way for change and promoting gender equity in emergency medical services.
