WiES Chapter Leaders Now Accepting Applications!
We are now recruiting Chapter Leaders to aid in programming, engagement, empowerment, growth, and value, across the country. WiES leadership will be providing Chapter Leaders with resources on how to build a successful chapter. Chapter Leaders will get the opportunity to check in with other Chapter Leaders to share resources and best practices during a virtual monthly meeting exclusive to Chapter Leaders. Why building Chapters is important: Local chapters serve as a venue for members to get together more regularly to exchange ideas, network, attend educational events, and develop relationships to advance women within the emergency medical services industry. Local chapters can regularly meet to provide programming or activities that directly impact the future of women in EMS. In addition, local chapters are aware of and sensitive to the needs that are unique to every community. For these reasons, the creation of chapters makes sense and provides value. Working locally at the Chapter level allows us to empower one another by working together, fostering relationships, leading by example, offering encouragement and support, and sharing what works for us. WiES needs assistance from Chapter Leaders in the following areas:
- Programming: programming or activities that allow for local networking and interactions that meet the needs of your individual community
- Engagement: Share frequently, and positively, in our online community
- Empowerment: empower local members by working together, fostering relationships, leading by example, offering encouragement and support, and sharing what works
- Growth: help to achieve our membership goals to strengthen the organization and expand member resources
- Value: increase the value of membership by mobilizing important initiatives, including local sponsorships and scholarships
